10 Meaningful Things To Do Over The Holidays!
Spending time with your kids is extremely important! Take a look at our suggestions for making the most of the season with your kids.
- Go to the Santa Claus Parade. Most kids young and older like parades.
- Shopping for other family members, including Mom.
- Take the time and make the effort to visit extended family.
- Take a trip to the slopes! (for those of you that have access to the mountains). Any outdoor activity that includes snow is a great way for a little one on one with the kids!
- For those really stormy days, read a great story! Start a tradition if you don't already have one. Pick a great Christmas story and read it with your kids.
- Play a board game and have some fun. If you want to expand on the experience, have your kids invite some friends for a game of (your favorite) and make sure the parents come too! After all, friends are an important part of the holiday experience!
- Get your kids to help with the festive meals. Most kids starting around 6-7 years are usually wanting to help in the kitchen. Give them a simple task that keeps them close and share in the experience. Who knows, you may be nurturing the beginnings of the next Great Chef!
- Get some Holiday cards off! Include your kids in signing their name and licking stamps!
- If the weather cooperates and you're in the right climate, tobogganing and snowballs are a given. Multi family events are so much fun! Get a group of your friends and their kids together for some winter fun.
- And of course, put up the Christmas tree! Decorating with some special hot chocolate and Christmas tunes are things that cherished memories are made of!
